TWO incidents took place recently: Karmra airbase attack and brutal killing of almost 22 Shia passengers, who were on their way to Astore, Gilgit Baltistan, to celebrate Eid festival with their families. Both these acts of terrorism were intended to destabilise Pakistan.
Particularly, genocide of Shia Muslims has been a norm in Pakistan, especially for the last few years and the state has failed to provide security to its people. Shias of Hazara community in Balochistan and GB passengers are being targeted after verifying their identities. Where are our security forces?
The two main schools of thought, Shias and Sunnis, had been living peacefully. However, the long-lasted peace was destroyed by the fundamentalist approach of military dictator Zia.
Prima facie, it appears that there is a non-ending clash between the two rival groups. But, behind the scene, a big plan is being prepared by masterminds of this game.
