KARACHI: President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday met with leaders of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and the Awami National Party (ANP), DawnNews reported.

MQM Coordination Committee's Deputy Convener and federal minister Dr Farooq Sattar, ANP Sindh's president Shahi Syed, provincial ministers Ameer Nawaz and Rafiq Engineer met with President Zardari.

Federal minister Dr Asim Hussain was also present during the meeting.

The meeting discussed the country's overall political situation with special focus on the matter of law and order in Karachi.
