LAHORE, Aug 19 An eight-race card featuring the Eid Cup awaits race-goers when the 16th day-night Lahore Summer Meeting gets under way at the Racecourse here on Tuesday (Aug 21) evening.

The meeting scheduled for Sunday had been postponed for two days because of Eid-ul-Fitr.

In view of the persisting hot and muggy weather in the city, the Lahore Race Club (LRC) has decided to revert to day/night racing.

In all, 77 horses are to take part in eight races. Six races will be run over the sprinting distance of 1000 metres and two including the feature event, the Eid Cup, Class VI division I, will be contested over 1200 metres.

The first race will start at 3.30pm.
