BAHAWALNAGAR, Aug 18: Two women were killed while a youth suffered injuries over marriage row in different incidents here on Saturday.

Reports said Joyia and Bhatti groups had a marriage dispute. On Saturday, an armed clash took place as a result Sharaf Bibi of Bhatti clan was killed on the spot while her son Fiaz suffered injuries.

One of the accused managed his escape while Madressah police arrested an accused who got injured in the clash. He was shifted to hospital.

In the second incident, a man shot dead his aunt over a marriage issue in Madni Colony. Zohaib shot at and injured his aunt Raeesa, a mother of two, and managed his escape.

Rescue 1122 shifted the woman to DHQ Hospital where she succumbed to her wounds.

City B division police have registered a case against Zohaib.

BODY FOUND: The body of a labourer was found on Saturday in Sadar police precincts.

On Friday, Mohammad Ashraf of Hafizabad Colony went to earn livelihood and did not return home. His body was found from fields near bypass on Saturday morning. Sadar police have registered a case.

SENSITIVE: As many as 331 places were declared sensitive on the occasion of Eidul Fitr while 1,000 policemen will perform security duty across the district.
