KARACHI, Aug 17: The University of Karachi announced on Friday the results of BA (regular) first year and BCom (external) first year.

According to statistics, 7,386 students were registered in the BA part-I exams and 7,148 of them appeared in the exams.

A total of 3,027 students were declared successful while the pass percentage stood at 42.35pc.

A KU statement said that marks certificates were being issued.

For BCom, a total of 8,186 candidates were registered and 7,654 of them appeared in the examinations and only 454 passed while 7,200 students failed. The pass percentage remained 5.93pc.

Meanwhile, the controller of examinations has asked students that applications for scrutiny can be submitted within 40 days after announcement of results, and no application will be entertained after due date.—Agencies
