HYDERABAD, Aug 14: Relatives of Asif Bhutto, who was picked up by police and officials in civvies from his house in Jamshoro three months ago, demonstrated outside the Hyderabad press club on Tuesday.

They called upon the President and the Chief Justice to ensure that Asif Bhutto’s arrest was brought on record and he was recovered safe and sound.

They raised slogans against the government and police.

The parents of Asif Bhutto, Rafiq Ahmed Bhutto and Hamida Bhutto said policemen and some officials in plain clothes entered their home and arrested their son. “We fear for the life of our son.”

They said they had filed a petition in the Sindh High Court’s Hyderabad circuit bench, which issued notices to the inspector general of Sindh, the DIG of Hyderabad and the home department secretary to appear before the court on Aug 16.
