KARACHI, Aug 10: Last year’s runners-up Omar Associates moved into the semi-finals of the second State Life Trophy Vital Five T20 Ramazan Cricket Festival after prevailing over Medicam CC by 13 runs in their quarter-final tie at the Vital Five Ground here on Friday.

Adnan Raza top-scored with 56 (38 balls, six fours and one six) as Omar Associates collected 159-8 after deciding to bat first.

Medicam CC, in reply, made 146-9 with opener Salman Ali (36 off 26 balls, four fours and one six) and Ayaz Tasawwar (37 off 26, three fours and two sixes) the main run-getters.

Off-spinner Junaid Ilyas and Faraz Ahmed Khan took three wickets each.
