Whites tackle Juniors in opener

LAHORE, Dec 19: Pakistan Whites will meet Juniors in the opening match of the NBP hockey league at the National Hockey Stadium on Friday.

Pakistan Seniors, named Greens are the third outfit of the tournament being organized to select the three squads for forthcoming international activity.

Nine matches will be played in the league which ends Dec 29. First three matches will be played on the single league here. In the second leg six matches will be played in Faisalabad from Dec 24 to 29 on double league.

Meanwhile, Sameer Hussain has moved from Seniors to Whites because of injury to Ishtiaq Mubeen. Four Greens players Mohammad Qasim, Zeeshan Ashraf, Aamir Saleem and Imran Rasool, have already joined Whites.
