PESHAWAR, July 28: The PPP-S chief Aftab Sherpao has criticised the provincial and federal governments for carrying out immense loadshedding in Ramazan. In a statement on Saturday, Mr Sherpao said federal and provincial governments were incompetent and had failed on all fronts.

“The PPP-led government had pledged that there would be no loadshedding in Ramazan but the masses are faced with worst power outages during Sehr and Iftar,” he lamented. He further said the government had failed to overcome energy crisis despite the fact that country had rich natural resources for generating sufficient electricity.

“Endemic corruption and mal-administration in the government departments put the country on the verge of collapse. Flawed economic policies resulted in rising inflation and employment,” he alleged.

Mr Sherpo also said ANP-led government provided mere lip service to the masses against terrorism and militancy, adding rulers focused on their personal interests instead of grievances of people.—Bureau Report
