LAHORE, July 24: The PML-Q on Tuesday submitted a privileged motion to the Punjab Assembly against ‘illegal’ advisers to Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

Submitting the motion, PML-Q’s MPAs Qamar Hayat Kathia, Abdullah Yousuf and Shahzad Elahi said under the law the chief minister could appoint only five advisers but he had hired an ‘army of advisers’.

They said the forest department had drawn the attention of the chief minister towards interference of his adviser Shafqat Husain but he did not bother to initiate action against him.

Similarly, Maj Mubasharullah (retired) was using resources of the police department without any notification.

They said on the one hand the chief minister fooled the people claiming that he wanted to keep his cabinet small and on the other he had hired a ‘force’ of task forces and advisers. — Staff Reporter
