Family robbed

TAXILA, July 21: Six gunmen looted a house in densely populated area in broad daylight, taking away cash, gold ornaments and other valuables in limits of Taxila police station on Saturday.

Malik Waheed, a shop owner, lodged a complaint with City police station, saying that six armed men entered his house located in downtown area near Mughal Market at about 11am. The robbers tied his wife and son after torturing them and then escaped with Rs50,000 cash, over 15 tolas of gold ornaments, prize bonds and other valuables worth over Rs2 million. — Correspondent
