LAHORE, Nov 21: Robbers struck nine times in different parts of the city on Wednesday, making off with cash, valuables, gold jewellery and three motorcycles.

Three gunmen stormed into the house of Mohammad Naeem at Jia Moosa in Shahdara and held up inmates at gunpoint. The intruders collected gold ornaments and cash worth Rs300,000 and escaped.

Three robbers barged into the house of Jamshed Arif in Johar Town and made off with cash, gold jewellery and valuables worth Rs150,000. Mr Jamshed later identified one of the intruders as Parvez, his former servant.

Two gangsters forced their entry into the house of Mohammad Afzaal in Chuhng. They collected cash and gold worth Rs70,000 at gunpoint from the family and escaped.

Three armed men burst in to the office of Ahmad Nadeem in Millat Park and took away cash and computer accessories worth Rs35,000.

Three robbers stormed into the house of Munir Ahmad in Gulshan Ravi and made off with cash and valuables worth Rs45,000. The house owner later identified the intruders as Zafar, Arshad and Akram as his neighbours.

Two miscreants burst into the house of a trader, Shakil Ahmad, in Block-G of Gulshan Ravi and held up inmates. A maid, later identified as Safia, 12, managed to reach the rooftop of the house and raised an alarm. The gangsters opened fire but nobody was reported hurt. Neighbours surrounded the house and chased the robbers when they tried to escape. One of them was nabbed by the neighbours who was later identified as Safdar. He was handed over to police.

Two gunmen intercepted Kashif on his way home in Gulshan Ravi and drove away with his motorcycle while two other motorcycles (LHY-7751) and (LXM-1630) were stolen in Shalamar and Shadman.
