DADU, Dec 17: The Government Ustad Bukhari Degree College, Dadu, is facing various problems, including a shortage of lecturers, furniture, and equipment.

The lecturers and professors of the college are not attending their classes as they are busy with their private business. So there is a shortage of lecturers of mathematics, commerce and computer science.

In 1993, a new building for BSc and BCom classes was constructed and furniture was purchased. However, the furniture was soon stolen.

The college hostel has remained closed for the last 12 years. Its doors, windows, and furniture were stolen by some influential people of the area with the connivance of the college administration.

There is a shortage of laboratory equipment for the chemistry, biology, and physics laboratories.

Out of 1,000 enrolled students, only 80 are attending their classes.

The citizens, NGOs, and Nazims have appealed to the senior officials of the education department to pay attention to the Ustad Bukhari Government Degree College.

DEMO: A large number of Masjid school teachers of the district staged a demonstration outside the local press club on Sunday to protest against the EDO (education).

The demonstrators accused the EDO (education) of appointing RPOs and supervisors for the Masjid schools illegally.
