LAHORE, July 15: PML-Q president Senator Chaudhry Shujaat Husain has said the government does not want clash with the judiciary.

“The PPP-led government does not want any clash with the judiciary and if Nawaz Sharif says so it reflects his own thinking,” he said while talking to reporters after condoling the death of his family friend Mirza Ehsan Baig at latter’s residence here on Sunday.

Accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Mr Husain said the federal government respected the decisions of the judiciary and those giving impression that there was any conflict between the two pillars of the state were wrong.

Meanwhile, the funeral for Rao Hashim, Pakistan People’s Party federal council member, was held here on Sunday.

Governor Latif Khosa and other PPP leaders attended the funeral. Rao Hashim was a close associate of Z.A.Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto.

The governor said his efforts for restoration of democracy and services for the party would be long remembered.
