LAHORE, Dec 15: Governments in the NWFP and Balochistan will be model religious governments, says the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal president.

Speaking at a meeting of JUP office bearers here on Sunday, Maulana Shah Ahmad Noorani said the MMA governments in both the provinces would serve the masses and form a crime-free society.

He said all the efforts to divide the MMA would fail, and the alliance would rather emerge as a national political force.

Maulana Noorani, who is also chief of the JUP, directed the participants to reorganize the party and rid it of the inactive office bearers.

He said the people who had deserted the party could rejoin it without tendering any apology and simply by filling up its membership form.

Those who attended the meeting included senior vice-president K.M. Azhar, Pir Ijaz Hashmi, Qari Zawwar Bahadur, Dr Javed Awan and Sardar Muhammad Khan Leghari.
