Switzerland's Roger Federer  beat France's Julien Benneteau  4-6 6-7 (3-7) 6-2 7-6 (8-6) 6-1, while Novak Djokovic of Serbia beat Radek Stepanek of Czech Republic  by   4-6 6-2 6-2 6-2.
