LAHORE, June 29: Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has said that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif is responsible for the worst law and order and doctors’ strike in the province.

“None else but Shahbaz is responsible for bad governance and it is because of his wrong thinking as he is in the habit of putting blames on others for miseries of the people of Punjab,” he said.

Mr Elahi was talking to the people who visited his residence at Zahoor Elahi Road to felicitate him on becoming the deputy prime minister here on Friday.

Pervaiz Elahi said Shahbaz’s bad governance had fully been exposed and he should carry out an exercise of ‘self-accountability’ instead of taking action against all segments of society.

He said the worst law and order situation was one of the hallmarks the Shahbaz’s rule in Punjab where no-one was safe.

Apart from this, government employees, including doctors and teachers, were on roads protesting against his (Shahbaz) dictatorial policies and attitude, he added.

PML-Q’s Anwar Ali Cheema, Basharat Raja, Chaudhry Zaheeruddin, Khwaja Waqar, Mian Munir, Amna Ulfat, Samina Khawar, Seemal Kamran, Syeda Majida Zaidi, Shahana Farooqi, Khadija Umar, Dr Samiya Amjad and Kanwal Naseem were present on the occasion.
