KOHAT, June 24: The provincial government has decided to launch the phase-III of Kohat Development Authority (KDA) township after completion of survey of 1,400 kanal acquired for the scheme, said KDA project director Khan Azad here on Sunday.

Talking to media persons, he said that the judicial complex would also be constructed in the phase-III. Besides, the proposed media colony, announced by the provincial information minister, would also be part of the new phase.

Mr Azad said that the new sector would have well-planned sewer system, streetlights, parks and dual roads. He said that some facilities, which were not available in phase-I and II, would be provided to all the residents of KDA town.

Answering a question, he said that water supply system in phase-I and II would be overhauled to ensure smooth supply of water to the residents.

NADRA OFFICE: The newly-established Nadra office has started work in Alizai area of Kohat district to facilitate people in getting computerised national identity cards.

The office has been opened in a library in union council Alizai and over 200 CNICs had already been issued to the residents.

The office would facilitate people of Bosti Tung, Spina Khwara, Alizai, Wardikhel, Khadizai, Sra Khwara, Mitha Khan, Zor Kamar and Aor Koi Kalay. Meanwhile, Ittehad Bainul Muslimeen chairman Mehtabul Hassan gave Rs50,000 for buying a generator for the Nadra office so as to ensure non-stop work.
