LARKANA, June 18: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Zaka Ashraf said on Monday that a cricket academy would be established soon here to train cricketers and create opportunities for them to enter into the national team.

The chairman said during his visit of the under construction cricket stadium in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh that President Asif Ali Zardari had given approval for making Larkana a new hub of cricket with the sole aim of encouraging local talent.

Zaka said that first phase of construction of the stadium has been completed and it would be ensured that funds are provided for the second phase to complete the project within stipulated time.
