SAHIWAL, June 17: More than 100 angry protesters on Sunday attacked the residences of Punjab Zakat Minister Malik Nadeem Kamran and PPP Sahiwal District President Zaki Chaudhry.

The attackers carrying sticks, bamboos and stones damaged three private vehicles, furniture at Benazir Public Secretariat and also broke windowpane of houses. During the onslaught, Zaki Chaudhry and his brother Shafat Javed were not present at the house.

It was learnt that the same group denied access to a motorist during the rally. The car rider resorted to aerial firing. This infuriated the protesters who beat him up and his two companions and damaged his vehicle. Fateh Sher police rescued the three people. They were taken to DHQ Hospital for treatment.

In another incident, a group of people attacked the house of Punjab Zakat Minister and PML-N District President, Malik Nadeem Kamran, in Farid Town. The rioters damaged furniture and broke windowpanes of the house. Nadeem Kamran is in Lahore for the marriage function of his daughter.
