A 45 Year LONG Struggle for a PLOT that is still NOT MINE: My story about the same housing society is even worse. It is a 'classic' case of how real estate /land transactions are conducted in our country, and a lesssn for many. It goes like this: 1967 - My father booked a 1000 Sq Yard in my name when I was only 15 years old . All instalments were paid as due, 1970-80 All development charges were paid as due. During this period the location of the Quetta Town was also moved from the original site near Karachi University Road to scheme 33 near the national highway. 1982/3": The Plot Allotment letter as well as the " Possession' Certificate issued. Actual Possession did not materialize. Period 1985 -2000 Additional charges of about Rs 100,000 was again paid to the society. Various visits to the Quetta Town office first in the Federal B Area - Near Water Pump and later somewhere on Shahrah-e;Faisal brought no result except that I was told that AFGHANIS have grabbed the land and built their own houses on sector 4A and that the eviction is under process etc etc. 2000 -2010 Various visits to the Offices of the Quetta Town - Same Story. Now I am 60 years old. For the last 45 years I have been struggling to get my plot handed over to me, but i have failed. I have a 1000 SQ Yard Corner plot for which historically i have paid around Rs 200,000 over a 45 year period. Can somebody help me??? Might well have been a fake society. Unfortunately, no one checks these in Pakistan and unscrupulous individuals take advantage. I hope it can be resolved but have my doubts.

I am also the member of Quetta Housing Society, A plot no-B-116 of 400 yards was allotted to me bearing allotment Order No-5691 and Membership N0-7402. On my visits to the Quetta Housing Society Office at Shara-e-Faisal I was also told the 4A sector is occupied by land grabbers and wait until government vacate the sector.
