LAHORE, Dec 13: Pakistan Medical Association president Prof Dr Yasmin Rashid’s presidentship tenure completed on Friday.

She will hand over the office to PMA president-elect Hadi Bakhsh Jatoi from Sindh at PMA’s biennial conference in Peshawar on Saturday (today).

Prime Minister Zafarulah Jamali is expected to be the chief guest in the conference. The conference will also elect the next PMA president from the NWFP.

Talking to Dawn, Prof Yasmin said it was a crucial day for her and she was happy that the government has taken a decision to review the need of the boards of governors in educational and health institutions in the province.

She said she was also happy that all sacked teachers and she herself have been reinstated.
