MINGORA, Dec 13: The provincial Muttahida Majli-i-Amal (MMA) general-secretary, Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan, has pledged that the government of the religious-parties alliance will serve the masses without any prejudice.

He was speaking at a reception given by the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam in the honour of the newly-elected MNAs and MPAs, here at a local hotel.

Officers of all the government departments were also invited to the programme.

Those who attended the event included MNA Qari Abdul Bais Siddiqui, science and technology minister Hussain Ahmad, agriculture and livestock minister Qari Mehmood.

Besides them, MPAs Mohammad Ameen, Maulana Nizamuddin, Mufti Hussain Ahmad, Malik Ameerzada and Swat District Nazim Dr Mehboobur Rehman were also present on the occasion.

Gul Naseeb Khan told the audience that the government was sincere to adopt polices purely on merit discouraging nepotism.

He claimed that all the people would be served on the basis of humanity irrespective of their political affiliations. The government expected from its officials that they would perform their duties honestly and with full dedication, and extend full support to the government, he added.  

The MMA official said that no one would be victimized. Justice would be provided to the masses at all costs and all the traditions which tarnished the image of Islam and Pakistan would be avoided, he added.

He said that prior to the formation of a government in the province leaders of the MMA had taken all the provincial political parties into confidence keeping in view uplift of the province.
