KARACHI: After carrying out a search operation in super highway, CID Karachi have arrested a terrorist from a banned militant outfit. The police have also recovered ammunition from his possession, DawnNews reported.

The operation was carried out on super highway by the CID team, which was headed by SSP Fyaz Khan. The alleged militant Jehangir Khan Achakhel was arrested while in possession of ammunition.

According to the police the arrested terrorist was affiliated with the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). He was reported to have been involved in a number of crimes, including murder, kidnapping, target killings, extortion and armed robberies.
