ISLAMABAD, Dec 12: Defence of the motherland is supreme and the government will work to ensure that no one could dare cast an evil eye towards it, Defence Minister Rao Sikandar Iqbal said on Wednesday.

Talking to the ministry’s officers during a get-together, he said: “We are a peace loving nation and wish to see peace and stability prevail in the region. But this should not be taken as our weakness, as we are fully capable of giving a befitting response in case of aggression,” he said. He called upon the officers to work with dedication and honesty.—APP
