HYDERABAD, Dec 12: The Mehran University of Engineering and Technology has conducted viva-voce examination of a PhD student of Information Technology, Mansoor-uz-Zafar Dawood, through a video conference at the Karachi Institute of Information Technology.

The examination was conducted by two external examiners, Prof David J. Murray Smith, department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, University of Glasgow, UK, and Dr Mahmoud Mostafa Shawky from Egypt.

The title of the PhD thesis was “Design and development of self-checking circuits for computer system”.

The PhD project was jointly supervised by Prof Dr Abdul Rehman Memon and Prof Dr B. S. Chaudhry.—Bureau Report
