NOWSHERA, May 27: A security man died and five others were injured when a man lobbed hand grenade at a military convoy near the Risalpur Rashakai Interchange on the Motorway on Sunday.

Officials said the grenade hurled by the man on motorbike hit a double-cabin pick-up which was going from Upper Dir to Mansehra with other military vehicles.

The deceased was identified as Touqir Ahmad.

The injured were taken to the Combined Military Hospital, Nowshera. Risalpur SHO Mohammad Ishaq said the motorcyclist targeted the vehicle that was leading the convoy.
