QUETTA, May 25: Armed men attacked a Levies Force checkpost in Awaran district of Balochistan on Friday night and took away official weapons.
Official sources said the incident took place in Nundar area of Jhao tehsil.
The assailants overpowered Levies personnel and looted official arms and ammunition.
They also set an official vehicle on fire before disappearing from the scene.
Awaran deputy commissioner Ehsan Rind said a team of Levies personnel had been sent to the area for arresting the armed group.
