PESHAWAR, May 20: A large number of activists of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) women wing organised a rally in support of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani here on Sunday and expressed full confidence in his leadership.

Led by PPP MPA Dr Faiza Rashid, hundreds of activists of PPP women wing took out the rally from Hastnagri holding placards and banners to express solidarity with the prime minister for his “positive” role in upholding the supremacy of constitution and democracy.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Faiza Rashid said PPP was the custodian of democracy and constitution and no one would be allowed to derail democracy. She vowed that Jiyalas would not let any attempt to destabilise the government and weaken democratic institutions.—APP
