14 injured as coaster overturns

MITHI, Dec 11: At least 14 persons were injured after a Mithi-bound passenger coaster overturned near the Sainsar village on the Mithi-Maokot road on Wednesday.

The coaster was coming from Hyderabad.

All the injured were rushed to the Civil Hospital, Mithi.

The injured include Fida Hussain, Maulvi Amir Hassan, Lakhu Bheel, Saleem, Sukhio, Ms Ityian, Kasubhan, wife of Vishnu, Patu, Premo, Sawai, Kasturi, wife of Ramoon, Gomun, Nand Lal, Kirshan and Raju.

Ten of them were later discharged while four of them are still being treated in the hospital.

Meanwhile, commuters, travelling on the Mithi-Naokot road, have demanded of the highway authorities to repair this road.

They said that most of the accident occurred because of the poor road conditions.
