SWABI, May 17: Labour leaders of Fauji Corn Complex, Jahangira, said on Thursday that officials of Fauji Foundation, Rawalpindi, had inked an agreement with them, under which all the over 300 workers rendered jobless after closure of the complex would get a total of Rs160 million in dues and compensation.

The factory was abruptly closed down on May 1 and afterwards the local politicians also raised voice for the rights of workers. The chief minister also intervened and asked the foundation to find an amicable solution to the workers’ problems. —Correspondent
