MUMBAI: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan faced a police probe and a lifetime ban from Mumbai's main cricket stadium on Thursday following a furious late-night row with staff at the ground, officials said.
The actor, who co-owns the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kolkata Knight Riders, took a group of youngsters including his daughter Suhana onto the pitch of the Wankhede Stadium after a match on Wednesday night.
A security guard tried to stop them from playing, leading the multi-millionaire actor to argue angrily for 10-15 minutes before finally giving up and leaving the stadium, an AFP photographer witnessed.
“Security officials told him to leave, but Shah Rukh Khan started the brawl,” Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) secretary Nitin Dalal told NDTV news.
“He entered the ground half an hour after the game. The officers told him that this was not the right time. He misbehaved and he used foul language,” he added.
Dalal said the MCA had filed a police complaint and would ban the cricket-crazy star from future attendance at the Wankhede Stadium.
“He'll not be allowed for any match—Test match, one-day international or any T20 or IPL matches hereafter. That is what we have decided,” said MCA treasurer Ravi Savant.
The sweaty and dishevelled appearance of Khan, one of the most popular stars of the nation's prolific Bollywood film industry, was a far cry from the carefully managed image presented through his advertising and acting roles.
The 46-year-old was embroiled in another ugly row in January after a female director accused him of assaulting her husband at a late-night party.
Khan has also been summoned to appear before a court in Jaipur later this month after he was seen smoking at the city's main cricket stadium, in violation of anti-smoking laws.

If that be the case why is that we have had a Muslim president, who was by far the most popular thus far? And there is a very strong voice to bring him back this time around, despite his age.
Shah Rukh Khan has a huge following cutting across religious lines. The case will be investigated, with enough chances given to him and the guilty shall certainly be punished. By the way I hope you know that it is the Khans who rule the Hindi film industry and my personal favourate being Aamir Khan.
Lastly, I don't mean to be insensitive, but I think it is in Pakistan (your country I presume) that we constantly hear to the minorities being pushed to the fringes, by outdated laws like blasphemy laws, and until recently the Hudood laws of the Zia era.
With due respect to your nation and your people, I wish to make clear that my country is secular in letter and spirit. The aberrations, which are most unfortunate, are condemned by the majority and shall be punished sooner or later.

Sometimes success gets in the mind and is dificult to handle. He was a little more excited because his team is doing so good and defeated Mumbai in Mumbai. Law will take its own course in this matter but this one little incident should not tarnish his image which he created in years of hard work. Please forgive him, forget the incient and watch out for his new film.

We should not over react to any comments made here, bottom line is he has done something wrong and should be punished accordingly. We need to acknowledge that vast majority of Indian’s believe in secularism and whatever he is today proves that. I also like the swift action taken by MCA in support of poor security guy. I am sure sense will prevail and he will apologise.

will you still have same opinion that it is a muslim majority country and has some grudge against him.
Any way it is besides the point but in this case Shah Rukh has full rights to defend his children and who so ever is at his place will do the same. The important point I want to make here is What made him to behave like this.
Dear friends there is no smoke with out fire. When he saw that some officers were mistreating his children he has to come foe their defence and thats what he did. If some one is not happy it is his/her problem.

Shut that religion topic from discussion there is a simple solution for Shah rukh MIGRATE TO PAKISTAN (if he think that's the security action was biased on religion basis).
I think that it has more to do with supremacy of law before anyone even SUPER DUPERS.
BUT rather there is one more thing which may be covered by our Indian visitors (like sudhir Das) and that is that UGLY appearance & characters of Indian Super Dupers behind their artificial sweaty and dishevelled appearances. While the riots have been most unfortunate, what still makes me proud of my country is that we persistent in our march towards justice, however insolent the perpetrators might be.
It is a consolation for all of us Indians, despite our diversity that even though a decade has passed since those tragic events, we are still going after those involved, with indomitable spirit.
We have never attempted to "cover it up". We as a nation are never afraid of facing our mistakes and candidly looking for amicable solutions. The core of our constitution, which promises liberty, equality and fraternity among all citizens irrespective of the diversity, has never been changed since we became a republic.
And I am certainly proud that in my country, the education system, however poor it might be, lays a great deal of stress on equality, compassion and peace.
Again, I wish to stress that I respect your nation and people ( not necessarily your government though), but please with at your own selves when it comes to ethnic strife. In the past it was the Bengalis, you targeted, now it's if the Balochis. And you also have problems with the Mohajirs, the Ahmadis, the tribals....and 3hat have you.
Anyway, I hope Peace prevails in Pakistan too and that your people shall some day wake up to the bliss that is derived from unity in diversity, where none is above the law, not even the state!!!

Watch the video footage and audio recording of the incidence and make your own dicision. Match was over, Prize distribution ceremony was over and even lights were off. NO one is allowed on the ground, leave apart the pitch. But some kids chose to go on the ground and security staff told them to be off the field. What wrong he did ? This irked King Khan as the kids included his daughter and some friends. This led to argument. Police intervened and took SRK away. A police officer, told that he could smell liquor on SRK. In my view, Mr Sharukh thought that the kids had right to be on ground while security staff thinks it was just doing its duty. You can hear unparliamentary language used by both sides. Sorry, I cant support King Khan on this.

Well lets not get into the religion part, it doesnt do any good. We should be reading the incident story and commenting about our opinions and views.
I agree with some readers and personally think that there is no law or what so ever in all our countries, be it India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri lanka or which ever country we belong to.

Equality does not exist in this part of the world. If you have money, fame or a politician, you can loot, disrespect or do anything you want. Money and fame certainly brings out the real character of a person.
As per the incident story, I personally think SRK totally blew this apart and disrespecting any person(ground staff) or any one is totally unacceptable. Every body deserves respect and a superstar like SRK should be setting an example. Regardless of various stories claiming of him being drunk or whatever the case is, I think this was an irresponsible act from SRK. The ground staff were doing their job and it is their responsibility to control this situation in which ever situation possible.
Sometimes we as people just forget that the other person is also human !!

I think, First one should analyze that what action has been committed which is under dicussion, surely the action is not a big breach of law or any criminal activity. There is not an issue relating to religion at all and SRK was stopped from doing an act which was considered to be prohobitted by the authorities of the stadium. How ever he did not broke a rule that contained any harm or damage to other human, rather that was a slight breach of stadium rules and was entirely harmless. I think that he would have not been restricted because being a fame in India, being a star and being the owner of KKR he would have let go of this.
