KARACHI: Prof Dr Muhammad Khalil Chishti reached his home in North Nazimabad on Wednesday night from Islamabad after 20 years' detention in India.

On his arrival, Dr Chishti was warmly welcomed by the faculty of the University of Karachi, including the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof Dr Nusrat Jamil. They also displayed a welcome banner at his residence.

It reads “Heartiest welcome to our dear teacher Prof Dr Khalil Chishti- KU alumnus and faculty member, on the auspicious occasion of long awaited home coming after 20 years of detention in India.”
