SINGAPORE, Dec 11: China has exported its first cargo of liquefied petroleum gas to Pakistan as part of border trade between the two countries, a China-based industry official said on Wednesday.
The 42-metric ton cargo, which was lifted last week, is part of an agreement to export 1,000 tons of LPG to Pakistan by the end of February next year, the official said.
The agreement was signed in October between Xinjiang Jinyi Import & Export Co. in China’s Xinjiang region and a trading house in Pakistan, he said, without giving the export price. The LPG was produced by a refinery owned by PetroChina Co. (PTR) in Xinjiang, he said.—Dow Jones Newswires
