White Paper on politicians KARACHI: With about three weeks left for the first-ever meeting of the newly elected National Assembly, the Government of Pakistan is understood to have made a decision to publish a White Paper on former politicians.

The publication of the White Paper, the issuance of which had been a matter of speculation, is expected some time this week. The White Paper will detail the “misdeeds” of former politicians which, in the opinion of Marital Law authorities, had dragged the country to the brink of ruination.

The White Paper, it is learnt, will set out the charges against several politicians under the Elected Bodies Disqualification Order (EBDO). — Staff Correspondent
