ISLAMABAD, May 12: A week-long Subh-e-Nau National Tennis Championship will be played from May 27 at the Islamabad Club tennis courts where top seeds of all categories in the country are expected to compete.

Players will take part in six different categories which include men’s singles, ladies singles, men’s doubles, boys’ U-18 and U-14, and men’s veterans’ 45+ doubles.

This event will carry a prize-money of Rs500,000 with handsome daily allowances for outstation players.

The finals of this tournament will be played on June 3.

Shahida Kausar Farooq will be chairperson of the organising committee while Dr Farrukh Chishtie has been appointed as the tournament director.

Shehzad Akhtar Alvi will officiate the event as the tournament referee.

Interested players can send their entries latest by May 26 to the tournament referee or coordinator Abdul Aleem.
