KARACHI, May 10: Vigo Champ Tennis Classic carrying a lucrative purse of Rs200,000 will be staged at the Karachi Gymkhana courts from May 23 to 31 under the aegis of Corporate and Businessman Tennis Forum, its founder Arif Anis announced on Thursday.

Divulging details, he said the forum is being revived after a layoff to provide opportunities to the youth. Founded about a decade ago, the forum had conducted three activities, one at Karachi Gymkhana and two at Karachi Club in the past.

The event, he added, is restricted to men’s singles and juniors and will be played on the single league instead of knock-out to set a new precedent.

Arif, who will be the tournament director of the event, has invited players to register themselves by May 21.
