KARACHI: Country’s top 40 cueists will assemble in the city later this month to feature in the fourth NBP ranking snooker championship which cues-off at the Defence Authority Creek Club from May 21.

The event is the second national ranking competition of the PBSA calendar. The domestic season began with the hosting of the 37th National Snooker Championship in the city in February. Mohammad Asif beat Sultan Mohammad to win the national title.

Both have returned after representing the country in the recently concluded Asian championship at Doha where they put up a dismal show.

This will be the first time that a national ranking snooker event is being held at the Creek Club. The event concludes on May 29.—Sports Correspondent
