A brand-new addition to the as-long-as-the English Channel list of celebrity talk show hosts on Pakistani television is none other than film star Shaan. He has his own morning show now and my oh my, does he sound lethargic on the show or what.

Whoever came up with the idea of making Shaan anchor a morning gig should have told him that the whole idea behind such a progamme is to get rid of the morning blues and get on with things in a regular-day way. But the poor lad comes across as someone who needs cupfuls of coffee after every 15 to 20 minutes. Still, let’s give him the benefit of the doubt. It’s early days for him and he might get the hang of the concept soon. After all, he is competing with the likes of Shaista Wahidi, Sadia Imam, Maya Khan, Ali Salman, Nida Yasir, Fahad Tunio, Farah Husain and their ilk.
