Uplift work

RAWALPINDI, April 26: Rawal Town Municipal Administrator Saif Anwar Jappa on Thursday directed the administration officials to speed up development work in the town and complete it before the end of current fiscal year.

He was presiding over the meeting held to review the uplift projects being undertaken in Rawal Town. Town Municipal Officer Wasiq Ali Qureshi and other officials were also present on the occasion.

The meeting was informed that the RTMA had launched Rs140 million worth of 119 development schemes in different areas of the town. So far 80 schemes had been completed.

The RTMA will also launch Rs20 million worth of 25 uplift schemes in the city by next week. The meeting was informed that the RTMA had installed 12 tubewells in different parts of the city and work on four more in progress.— A Reporter
