Robbers on the rampage

FAISALABAD, Dec 9: Unidentified outlaws made off with thousands of rupees in cash, ornaments and took away eight motorcycles and two cars in 12 different strikes in and around the city during the last 24 hours.

Three masked bandits looted thousands of rupees in cash, ornaments and other valuables at gunpoint from the house of Amir Saleem in Chak 121-JB.

Armed dacoits barged into the house of Shan Masih in Chak 214-RB and fled after looting ornaments worth Rs50,000 and other valuables.

Two highwaymen snatched on pistol point a two-wheeler (FS-2726), hundreds of rupees in cash and a wristwatch from student Sulman Ahmed in Peoples Colony.

Armed robbers snatched a motorcycle (FDS-1820) from shopkeeper Babar Ali in Sanatpura.

Three masked highwaymen snatched a two-wheeler (FS-4936) from Shahid Ali in Gulberg Colony.

Similarly, three masked robbers snatched thousands of rupees in cash and a two-wheeler (FDW-1193) at gunpoint from Khalid Mehmood in Ali Housing Colony.

Iftikhar Ahmad of Rehmania Town was deprived of his motorcycle (FDW-4267) by armed bandits.

Bandits hijacked a car (FDQ-492) of a local trader, Muhammad Saleem, on the Faisalabad-Satiana Road.

A car (FDT-6050) was lifted by vehicle-lifters when its owner Rajab Ali parked it outside his house in Digluspura.

Three motorcycles of Haroon Shahzad of Civil Lines, Shafique Ahmed of Millat Colony and Muhammad Akram of Jhang Bazaar were stolen by thieves.
