ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira on Saturday said that the findings of a probe into the Bhoja plane tragedy would be made public.

Talking to media representatives at the site of the plane crash in Hussainabad village, the information minister said that an inquiry into the tragic incident was underway.

Kaira, accompanied by Minister for Information Technology Raja Pervez Ashraf and Minister for Environmental Change Rana Farooq Saeed Khan, were briefed about the rescue work as they visited the crash site and also the houses where some wreckage of plane had fallen.

Replying to a question about the Air Blue plane crash, the minister said that all facts were made public in that regard and assured that the people responsible for the incident would not be held accountable.

He said that Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani had also visited the hospital to console the bereaved families and directed for a judicial and technical inquiry of the incident.

Kaira also added that the government would ensure that the heirs of the crash victims would be compensated.

Responding to a question, Minister for Environmental Change Rana Farooq Saeed Khan said that, after the detailed investigation, a policy on the basis of weather patterns would be evolved to avoid such incidents in future.
