Agri varsity to set up rose oil lab

FAISALABAD, Nov 19: The local University of Agriculture has planned to construct new laboratories and to renovate the existing departments with an expenditure of Rs8.7 million.

A university source on Monday apprised newsmen that Rs70,000 would be spent on construction of cut flower and rose oil laboratory.

‘An experimental project to extract essential oil of rose would be started in the laboratory,’ he added.

He said Rs400,000 had been allocated for the installation of a greenhouse plant for the provision of Nutrition Injector Irrigation System.

The administration had also allocated Rs400,000 for the repair and renovation of Physics and Chemistry blocks.—APP
