NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, April 16: A 12-year-old girl was reportedly killed by her uncle and cousins in the kutcha area of Kot Mitha on Saturday night.

According to an FIR registered on behalf of the state under section 302, 201 and 34 PPC at Kot Mitha police station on Sunday, Hajani, 12, daughter of Abdul Sattar Mugheri, a resident of Mundh Jamrao, district Sanghar, was brought by her uncle Rasheed Mugheri in Kot Mitha about five months back to see her ailing grandmother.

The girl wanted to go back to her parents but her uncle Rasheed and his sons didn’t allow her. Rasheed was interested to arrange her marriage with his son Ihsan.

Irshad, another son of Rasheed, was also interested in her but the girl refused to marry with either of them.

She was allegedly murdered after Ihsan and Irshad exchanged hot words with their father, the FIR said. A police team, led by area SHO arrested her uncle when the body was being buried in the fields.

Her two cousins, Ihsan and Irshad, escaped.
