KARACHI, April 5: Slow left-armer Fahim Ahmed grabbed a 10-wicket haul to help Pakistan Customs defeat Pakistan Steel by 131 runs in the opening round of the Patron’s Trophy Grade-II cricket tournament at the Quaid-i-Azam Park on Thursday.

Fahim claimed 6-42 as Pakistan Steel were dismissed for 154 I their second innings on the final day of the three-day fixture.

Sindh Police eased to an eight-wicket win over Saudi Cricket International at the NBP Sports Complex, while the remaining Group ‘A; match between Omar Associates and Navy ended in a draw at the UBL Sports Complex.

In other pools the team enjoying victories were Capital Development Authority (CDA), Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) and PTV in Group ‘B’; Karachi Port Trust (KPT), Income Tax and Port Qasim Authority (PQA) in Group ‘C’, Service Industries and KESC in Group ‘D’.
