LAHORE, April 3: Two pickpockets were caught while depriving as many passengers of their belongings on Tuesday.

Riaz Baig was purchasing ticket for boarding a Jacobabad-bound train at the Lahore railway station when a man removed wallet from his pocket and ran away. On the hue and cry of Mr Baig, a railway police constable nabbed the accused, later identified as Sajjad Ahmad.

Muhammad Saleem was boarding the Pakistan Express at Kaleke station when a man removed Rs2,000 and important documents from his pocket and ran away.

On suspicion, Saleem chased and caught the suspect who was later identified as Muhammad Waseem with the help of a PR police constable.

Cases have been registered against both the accused and the recovered amounts were returned to Riaz and Saleem after fulfilling legal formalities.
