KARACHI, March 31: Punjab offers lucrative investment opportunities to prospective local and foreign investors for making higher contribution towards country’s GDP and exports.

This was stated by Dr Miftah Ismail who recently took over as vice chairman of the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT).

Talking to Dawn, he said the provincial government is offering a very pro-business environment and a positive policy framework to attract foreign and domestic investments.

“Despite law and order situation and severe energy crisis, Punjab offers some of the most lucrative and low-risk opportunities for investors. The strong political commitment of the Punjab government to facilitate investors is amply reflected by the fact that the chief minister Punjab himself chairs PBIT meetings,” he added.

Dr Miftah  said that all policy decisions and their implementation are monitored closely to facilitate investment.
