RAWALPINDI, March 21: A couple was caught stealing a five-month-old baby boy from Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH) on Wednesday, police said.

Wajid Mehmood, a resident of Abbotabad, had got his son Arman, a pneumonia patient, admitted in the hospital.

On Wednesday morning he went to nearby market to bring breakfast leaving behind his son on the hospital’s bed. In his absence the couple came to ward and took away the little boy.

As the couple was taking away the infant, Wajid saw his son’s blanket in a stranger woman’s arms. He stopped her and asked her where she was taking his son. The woman could not give any answer. Later the couple was handed over to the Waris Khan police.
