Junior probables

KARACHI, Dec 3: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) selection committee Tuesday named 22 probables from which an 18-member Pakistan under-19 squad for the hockey tournament being held in Malaysia from Jan 5-12 will be picked.

Team was announced by chief celector Akhtar Rasool after selection committee meeting.

The 18-member squad will be finalized after tri-series between Pakistan Green, Pakistan Whites and Pakistan Under-18 played between Dec 20-26 in Lahore and Faisalabad.

Besides Pakistan, South Korea, India and two teams from Malaysia will be taking part in the championship.

Junior probable:

Goalkeepers: Shakir Munir, Adeel Anwar

Full backs: Akhlaq Ahmed, Usman Akram, Tariq Yameen, Adnan Hamid.

Half backs: Muhammad Imran Khan, Abu Bakar, M.Imran, M. Khalid, Sajjad Anwar, Asim Khan.

Forwards: Ovais Moeed, Imran Khan, Yasir Islam, Adnan Zakir, Muhammad Arif, Mahmood Ali, Tariq Aziz, Akhtar Ali, Naeem Akber and Abbas Haider.—APP
