RAWALPINDI, Feb 27: Robbers struck at two places in the city and looted cash, gold jewellery and other valuables, police said on Monday.

Syed Mudassir Hussain along with his sister was waiting in his car outside his home in Westridge when three motorbike riders held them hostage. Mudassir told the police that the bandits snatched six gold bagels, a gold necklace and ring, two cellphones and cash from them at gunpoint and fled. The value of the looted valuables and cash is yet to be estimated.

Sheikh Chand, a resident of Railway Scheme-IV, complained to the police that four armed persons forced their way into his house and looted Rs200,000, four gold bangles and two gold rings and escaped after locking the inmates in a room. — Staff Reporter
